Dear friend, because God has created us in His image; we have a deep desire to fellowship with Him; yet the Bible tells us that sin has seperated us from Him. Please take a moment to discover through the following outline how much God loves you and desires for you to be in a relationship with Him.
Grace - Heaven is a Free Gift
Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV) "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it it the gift of God."
Man - Everyone is a sinner - all of us are separated from God because of our sin.
Romans 3:23 (NKJV) "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
Jesus Christ - God in the flesh - Jesus Christ is the Promised Messiah that was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and at the cross He took the penalty for our sin so that we could be reconciled to God. Christ was placed in a tomb, and on the third day arose from the grave to give us eternal life.
1 Peter 3:18 (NKJV) "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,"
Faith - Faith is trusting in Jesus Christ Alone - Faith is more than a head knowledge, it is both trusting and surrendering ones eternal hope to Christ alone.
Acts 16:31 (NKJV) "So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
A sample prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as Savior and Lord; In Jesus' name. Amen.
How to deepen your relationship with Christ:
1- Read your Bible every day to get to know Christ better; God wants to speak to you.
2- Talk to God in prayer each day; God wants to hear from you.
3- Tell others about Christ and your decision.
4- Worship, fellowship, and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached. As Christ's representative in a needy world, demonstrate your new life by your Christlike love and concern for others.
