At West Hendersonville Baptist Church we have a blended musical service with traditional hymns and contemporary choruses with solos/duets, 5th Sunday song services and two seasonal cantatas led by the church choir.
Why do we worship?
I think the first verse of “O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing” says it all:
O for a thousand tongues to sing, my great Redeemer's praise,
the glories of my God and King, the triumphs of his grace!
Or the lyrics of
“Our God is an Awesome God”
Our God is an awesome God, He reigns from heaven above,
With wisdom power and love, Our God is an awesome God!
Putting your gifts to work for God:
There seem to be 3 stages: Recognizing a gift or talent, Giving thanks to God for that gift, offering it back to God and sharing it with others, not keeping them to ourselves, but using them in a way that honors our Lord Jesus Christ.
I would like to invite you to join us in worship, lifting Christ on high and allowing Him to love you unconditionally as He does each and every day. Also, choir practice is held on Wednesday evenings from 7:30pm- 8:30pm – come and join us!!
Let’s pray together:
Loving God, we have come to worship you. Help us to pray to you in faith, to sing your praise with gratitude, and to listen to your word with eagerness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Looking forward to seeing you Wednesday at choir practice!
Adult Small Group Ministry
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.”
Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV)
The above scripture is the great commission and is the reason that we have a Sunday Morning Bible Study Ministry. Jesus commissioned Christians to go and make disciples of all the nations. At WHBC, Bible study is one way that we fulfill this commission. Through Sunday Morning Bible Study we teach Scripture in small group settings, which allows for discussion, interaction, and oneness within the small group. In the small groups we are also able to reach out to one another and others in need. Small groups also provide a great place to minister in the lives of those in the group.
At WHBC, Sunday Morning Bible Study is not just a Sunday morning activity; Sunday Morning Bible Study is life changing small groups that allow people to form a connection with other people with whom they have things in common. We hope that you are involved in a Sunday Morning Bible Study class at this time; however, if you are not we invite you to join us at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings to experience a wonderful time of small group Bible study. Through our small groups we are able to reach out to those in our community and provide an environment that welcomes guests while teaching the Scriptures and freely ministering to one another.
